Quartyard (1301 Market Street in East Village) is made of repurposed shipping containers. It’s both an event venue and an urban park. With 11,000 square feet of outdoor space, Quaartyard offers a restaurant, full-service beer garden, art space and a coffee shop. Its flexible design can accommodate up to 550 guests.
Designed by RAD Lab and built by FreeForm Development, the original goal was to activate vacant urban land into vibrant outdoor community space.
Owner/manager Justin Navalle has a motto for the venue: Deliver Excellence In Leisure.
“We create space that connects,” Navalle says. “San Diego’s creative ecosystem is so diverse and talented. We love being the place where that’s showcased.”
