The San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival will received the highly coveted FestForums 2024 “Festival of the Year” award.
FestForums is a conference series dedicated to festival producers and event organizers, and is attended by power players in the festival space including reps from Primavera Sound, Roskilde, SXSW, Coachella, Burning Man, Lollapalooza and more.
The locally and nationally recognized San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival will celebrate it’s 20th anniversary this year. The annual event is scheduled for November 3-10 at downtown’s Embarcadero Marine Park North.
Last year, the SDBWFF was named the winner of the 2023 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest for Best Wine Festival.
The San Diego Sun has unabashedly raved about about the festival for years, unofficially dubbing it San Diego’s Best Annual Event.
The FestForum award will be presented to the SDBWFF at the organization’s annual conference in Santa Barbara on February 15. The award honors the festival’s commitment to celebrating food, wine and culture.
The San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival was selected from a field of highly competitive festivals from across the country and was praised by industry leaders for its innovative programming, sustainability initiatives and charitable contributions.
“We are truly honored to be named the FestForums 2024 Festival of the Year, especially as we embark on our 20th year producing this extraordinary event,” San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival co-founder Michelle Metter says.
She adds: “This recognition, coupled with the enduring legacy of our festival, is a testament to the hard work, creativity, and passion of our team, as well as the support of our partners and attendees.
