Sometimes you just need a cookie at midnight. A new bakery on Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter can make that happen.

The Insomnia Cookies chain has landed in downtown San Diego.

The brick-and-mortar store is open at noon or earlier every day of the week. It’s still open (for delivery!) until 3 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. Delivery hours end at 1 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday.

Insomnia Cookies is an expanding bakery concept headquartered in Philadelphia. It was founded at the University of Pennsylvania by then-student Seth Berkowitz in 2003.

At last count, there were 250 locations nationwide, offering cookies, ice cream and other treats.

The Gaslamp store delivers to downtown locations. To see if you’re in the delivery zone, check out the Insomnia Cookies website.
