An internship at The San Diego Sun is a hands-on experience at an award-winning independent local news website. The Sun is currently seeking interns for the 2026 fall semester.
Sun interns get real-life experience and the chance to publish byline stories. Interns work closely with Sun Editor Ron Donoho to develop their skills as a reporter and a writer.
Applicants for these non-paid positions should be college juniors or seniors. You must be able to receive school credit for the internship. The Sun will also consider individuals who have graduated from college and are seeking further journalism experience.
