The SDTA wants to hear your thoughts on local tourism.

The San Diego Tourism Authority (SDTA) has launched a 10-year strategic plan aimed at attracting more visitors and ensuring the region remains at the forefront of traveler preferences.

As part of the plan, the SDTA is launching a 15-minute online survey to get community insights on tourism in San Diego.

Those who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing to win a Taste of San Diego prize package worth more than $1,500. The Taste of San Diego package includes two-night stays at the Catamaran Hotel, four tickets to the San Diego Zoo, and a $100 restaurant gift card.

“Our goal with this survey is to better understand the community experience and identify how we can support, improve and enhance San Diego’s long-term quality of life and success as a destination for residents, businesses, and visitors,” San Diego Tourism Authority president and CEO Julie Coker says.

The SDTA says the new tourism plan aims to shift the focus from competitive growth to a holistic approach, taking into account sustainability, community well-being, and environmental impact as key performance indicators.

The plan also includes a commitment to enhanced brand perception, the promotion of sustainable tourism practices, and fostering diversity and inclusion in the tourism workforce. The San Diego Tourism Authority said the plan will drive strategic investments over the next decade, with a focus on attracting international visitors to the region.
