The nonprofit Spreckels Organ Society will conclude its 36th annual San Diego International Summer Organ Festival with a Labor Day Classic Rock concert on Monday, September 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The open-air rock concert in Balboa Park will feature trippy music by The Doors and Pink Floyd. The concert will also include a psychedelic experience, with projections on the front of the Organ Pavilion.

The Balboa Park organ is the largest outdoor musical instrument in the world, according to the Spreckels Organ Society.

“There is something so special about the Spreckels Organ – and to experience it with a rock band is truly next level,” San Diego Civic Organist and Artistic Director for the Spreckels Organ Society Raúl Prieto Ramirez said. “We are so excited to close out the festival with a true explosion of music.”

The seven-member Spreckels Organ Pavilion Rock Band includes Ben Zinn, guitar; Chloe Lou, vocals; Harley Magsino, bass guitar; Lauren Leigh, vocals and guitar; Richard “T-Bone” Larson, drums; Raul Prieto Ramirez, organ; and William Flemming, vocals.

In addition to the special summer performances, the Spreckels Organ Pavilion also hosts weekly concerts every Sunday at 2 p.m. These concerts are also free, in accordance with the 1915 Deed of Gift whereby the brothers John and Adolph Spreckels gave the organ and pavilion to the City of San Diego. Donations are accepted.
