More than 25,000 people marched in downtown San Diego on October 18 in the second “No Kings” rally of 2025, according to an initial San Diego Police Department crowd count reported by local media.
The San Diego march, which began and ended in Waterfront Park, was one of 2,700 peaceful protests held all over the United States. The protests were held in defiance of perceived authoritarian policies and actions by President Trump.
No Kings organizers say nearly 7 million individuals participated nationwide. That number would be 2 million more than the No Kings rallies held on June 14. The number of marchers in San Diego would be less than half of the reported totals from earlier this summer.
