Highly acclaimed Broadway musicals coming to the downtown San Diego Civic Theatre later in 2024 have been announced.
Broadway San Diego kicks off its 47th season with Kimberly Akimbo, a musical about a young girl who is forced to deal with a rare genetic condition and family secrets after moving to suburban New Jersey. That show begins October 8.
Other musicals coming to town during the fall season include Back to the Future: The Musical, Some Like It Hot, A Beautiful Noise, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, and Shucked.
Broadway San Diego’s seven-show ticket packages start at $328. All shows take place at the San Diego Civic Theatre (1100 Third Avenue).
Shows already scheduled at The Civic Theatre for this spring/summer include: MJ, Disney’s Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Peter Pan.
