In May, we say, thanks to our moms. Traditionally, we eat, drink and dance at the Gator by the Bay Festival. This month, the on-off-on-again Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival is going to give it another go. Butterfly Jungle Safari at the San Diego Zoo

Gator by the Bay Festival
May 9-12 (Thursday to Sunday) Ten thousand pounds of crawfish are among the special guests at this vibrant celebration of Louisiana food, culture and music. With more than 100 musical performances and plenty of room to dance, this family-friendly festival has become a beloved tradition. More info
Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival
May 10-12 It’s back! Appreciate emerging and iconic musicians at this waterfront festival, where artists like Weezer, Dominic Fike and Carly Rae Jepsen will be performing. After each day’s worth of artistic output, head into the heart of downtown where there will be afterparties galore. More info
Bike Anywhere Day
