San Diego Padres games will be carried locally on cable and satellite services, it was announced on Wednesday, March 27, the day before the team’s home opener.
Games will air on Cox (Channel 83), Spectrum (Channel 305 or 443), AT&T U-verse (Channel 781 or 1781) and DirecTV (Channel 694-3).
Local fans who don’t have cable or satellite service can pay for the club’s direct-to-consumer streaming channel, Padres.TV. The cost is $19.99 per month; $99.99 for the full season. Padres.TV subscriptions can be streamed on computers, mobile devices or smart TVs.
Fan-favorite announcers Don Orsillo (play-by-play) and Mark Grant (color commentator) are back in the booth. Padres TV broadcasts include a one-hour pregame show featuring analyst Mike Pomeranz and new sideline reporter Mariluz Cook.
Depending on national scheduling, select Padres games this season will air on Apple TV+, ESPN, FS1, Fox Sports or TBS.
Diamond Sports Group, the parent company of Bally Sports, the Padres’ former regional network, filed for bankruptcy in March 2023. Diamond’s 20-year, $1.2 billion contract with the team ended abruptly in the middle of last season.
When Bally failed to honor its contract last May, Major League Baseball immediately took over broadcasts of the remainder of the Padres’ schedule on MLB.tv, and games also aired on separate channels for cable subscribers. SDSun
