The San Diego Food + Wine Festival (formerly known as the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival) has been recognized nationally for the second year in a row as the “Best Wine Festival” in the country.
The top honor comes from the 2024 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the festival, held annually in downtown San Diego’s Marina District.
“Our journey began over 20 years ago with a mission to create an annual showcase that casts a national and international spotlight on the vibrant city of San Diego, our surrounding bioregion and its incredibly talented and passionate chefs, farmers, fisherman, winemakers and producers,” Festival Co-Founder Michelle Metter said.
This year’s festival will be held November 2-10. The premier Grand Tasting event happens November 9 at the Embarcadero Marina Park South.
The festival’s Latin-themed Grand Fiesta takes place November 10 at Liberty Station’s Ingram Plaza.
Dubbed “San Diego’s Best Annual Event” by The San Diego Sun, the festival also was honored earlier this year as the “Festival of the Year” by FestForums. A national conference series, FestForums includes reps from Coachella, SXSW, Burning Man, Lollapalooza and more.
