The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series warmup was the 5K race on Saturday May 31. San Diego Sun photographer Sal Giametta was at the Balboa Park starting line (Presidents Way & Park Boulevard) clicking away as the runners warmed up and took off (see photos below).
The 1/2 Marathon and the 26.2-mile marathon get underway Sunday (June 1) morning. That starting line is on Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street just outside Balboa Park. The runs start at 6:15 a.m. and both end at Ash and Union streets in Little Italy.
