The 12th Annual East Village Block Party on Opening Weekend celebrates the return of the Major League Baseball season and signals new hope for the San Diego Padres.
The free, family-friendly Block Party takes place on J Street from Seventh to Tenth avenues from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 (prior to the third home game of the season).
The Padres play the San Francisco Giants in Petco Park that day starting at 4:15 p.m.
The EVA Block Party celebrates all things East Village. Featured: live music and entertainment, food, beer and cocktails, a car show, fitness activations, photo opportunities and a variety of all-ages activities.
“The Block Party offers the opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate all the wonderful local businesses, restaurants and retailers that make the East Village so full of life,” EVA assistant district manager Ethan Olsen says. “Our community welcomes everyone with open arms.”
