Despite scattered rains throughout the day, marchers came out to honor the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for the 41st local parade in his honor on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023.
The annual event (cancelled last year due to COVID) was coordinated by the Zeta Sigma Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
Founded in 1906, Alpha Phi Alpha is the oldest African American fraternity in the United States.
The parade began at the San Diego County Administration Building and proceeded down Harbor Drive to its endpoint at Broadway and Pacific Highway.
