This year’s Mardi Gras celebration in the Gaslamp Quarter could challenge your party stamina.

From February 9-14, 2024, so many celebratory events are connected to fun-filled events in downtown San Diego: Mardi Gras (Feb. 9, 10 and 13) Super Bowl viewing opportunities (Feb. 11) and Valentine’s Day dinners (Feb. 14).

Do what you gotta (and have the energy to) do.

The Gaslamp Quarter’s three days of Mardi Gras includes special deals, drinks and bar-hop happenings, headquartered at American Junkie bar/restaurant (628 Fifth Avenue).

The American Junkie event takes place over three days from 6 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday the 9th, Saturday the 10 and Fat Tuesday the 13th.

The 3-day event also offers free entry to more than 20 bars, restaurants and clubs in the Gaslamp Quarter, where ticket holders get free entry and the option of nearly a dozen welcome shots.

Tickets are $35. There’s also a $5 ticket package for Unlimited Tacos at American Junkie from 5 to 10 p.m. on Fat Tuesday.
