“That’s What She Said” Improv Festival

March 2 (Saturday). For Women’s History Month, laugh out loud at the Finest City Improv theater. “That’s What She Said” is a night of hilarity and celebration focused on women in comedy. Los Angeles improv duo Dock of the Bay will make an appearance, leading a variety of workshops throughout the night. More info
Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show
March 2 (Saturday). What’s as smooth as Tennessee whiskey and sweet as strawberry wine? Country crooner Chris Stapleton’s latest tour, which is making a stop at Petco Park with special guests Turnpike Troubadours and Elle King. More info
CRSSD Electronic Music Festival
March 2-3 (Saturday-Sunday). Bust out your dancing shoes and brave fashions for this techno and house music dance party at Waterfront Park. The festival aims to electrify with genre mainstays Black Coffee, Tale of Us and Dixon. Later on in the night, CRSSD is hosting an After Dark event series at venues, clubs and converted spaces around downtown. More info
San Diego Symphony’s Picnic at the Park

March 3 (Sunday). At this free picnic hosted at The Rady Shell, families are welcome to bring blankets, chairs and their own food; there will also be Biga Pizza pies, Lola 55 tacos, Urban Kitchen dishes and Cali Creamery ice cream. The San Diego Symphony Orchestra and 2023 San Diego Music Award winners Rebecca Jade and Jeff Berkley and The Banned will entertain. More info
Wing Wars
March 9 (Sunday). No one’s playing chicken at this wing competition in the Gaslamp Quarter, where local restaurants (including Henry’s Pub, Gaslamp Lumpia, Pizza On 5th and more) put their best wings forward. After completing the crawl to each venue, participants can judge their favorite wings and spice up the afterparty. More info
Speed Dating at Salt & Whiskey
March 14 (Thursday). Believe in love at first sight? Meet your match at this elevated approach to the notorious speed dating shtick. Hosted at swanky Salt & Whiskey, the event aims to get sparks flying by creating a low key, “private club atmosphere.” Open to ages 25 to 39. More info
Irish 4 A Day St. Patrick’s Day Party Hop

March 15-17 (Friday-Sunday). With free entry to more than 20 restaurants, bars, nightclubs and themed events, and several drink specials, the only thing this three-day bar crawl is missing is a pot of gold. More info
ShamROCK Festival
March 16 (Saturday). This St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Gaslamp Quarter is full of festive fun, featuring traditional Irish food, a lineup of Irish & Celtic Rock bands and Irish dancers. Feeling lucky? You may win a prize playing ShamROCK Shenanigans. More info
Hanami Picnic

March 16 (Saturday). A Japanese celebration of cherry blossoms, Hanami blooms at Balboa Park’s Japanese Friendship Garden and Museum. Celebration of Life for Peter Seidler

March 23 (Saturday). In honor of the late chairman and owner of the San Diego Padres, this memorial event will have the Padres players and other dignitaries pay tribute to Peter Seidler. Attendance is free to the public. The first 10,000 attendees will receive a complimentary “JS” jersey patch in honor of Seidler. More info
Easter Eggspress
March 23-24 (Saturday-Sunday). This Easter egg hunt will have kids hopping for joy as they scour the San Diego Railroad Museum for hidden eggs while learning about locomotives. Candy, arts and crafts and story time are included in this very-family-friendly event. More info SDSun
