Many people know the University Club exists at the top of downtown San Diego’s Symphony Towers. Fewer are aware of a the new Knead Artisan Bakery on the ground level of the building.
Come on in to the restaurant and take a look at the size of the croissants! These big beauties are made with butter imported from France. And everything behind the counter is made in-house. Along with the croissants, lunch offerings include lattes and soups. There’s a new soup every week; this week’s soup is chicken corn chowder.
Here’s the best part. Knead has a Happy Hour every day at 2 p.m., when the pastries are 20% off.
If you’re familiar with the University Club, you know a membership is required for entry. Down on the first floor, walking into Knead is free.
