It took two years for the owners to create this upscale South American steakhouse on the corner of Ash and India in Little Italy. As you walk into Piedra Santa, you’ll see artwork from Argentina across the spacious restaurant.
Everything’s Argentinian in this upscale spot. FYI: Piedra Santa literally translates to “holy stone.”
They have fresh and dry-aged steak from Argentina. The dry-aged steak sits in front of a wall of Himalayan salt for 28 days. The salt draws the moisture from the air and tenderizes the meat, also adding complexity to the steak, giving it a blue-cheese flavor.
Their seafood is delivered fresh every day. Empanadas and sausages are from, you guessed it, Argentina. So are many of the wines served here.
Happy Hour? How about a Happy Hour served seven days a week! Highly recommend: the garlic bread, tuna tartare, empanadas and steak!
Plan ahead to dine in Piedra Santa because this holy stone gets packed. SDSun
