Video coverage is coming to The San Diego Sun. Downtown San Diego-based realtor and former CNN international anchor Kaushal Patel will soon be providing videos that highlight various aspects of downtown living.

Patel is a downtown resident and co-founder of Seller’s Corner Real Estate. In 2021, she was one of the first profile subjects in The Sun’s “Living In The City” series.

“I love our city and am proud to showcase different aspects of downtown living,” Patel says. “Yes, I’m a realtor, that’s my job, but I’m also a former news correspondent who loves providing information about what San Diego has to offer.”

San Diego Sun founder/editor Ron Donoho is excited to have Patel as a contributor.

“Kaushal was one of the most professional TV news people we’ve had in San Diego, and she’s demonstrated that she has insider knowledge of the city,” Donoho said. “This is a great addition to our downtown-focused news site.”

Patel’s first video that was linked from The Sunday Sun, the website’s free, weekly newsletter, was about the future of Comic-Con

After working for half a dozen years in local TV markets in the U.S., including Dallas, she joined CNN in 2008. Initially, Patel worked from CNN’s Atlanta headquarters, before moving to Hong Kong to anchor a daily international broadcast.

After returning to the states and seeking to settle down in California, Patel worked locally at Fox 5, ABC 10News and The San Diego Union Tribune’s former U-T TV news show and Hot Properties feature show.

She’s won numerous awards for her work, including a regional Emmy Award for coverage of the death of San Diego Chargers legend Junior Seau.
