For fans of the late singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffet, your “Cheeseburger In Paradise” will be served on Saturday, June 22, at the new Margaritaville Hotel San Diego.
The East Village hotel (formerly Hotel Solamar) has booked tribute band Jimmy’s Buffet for a show to take place on the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Rooftop Bar.
The Margaritaville brand, founded by Buffett, is licensed to hotels, casinos, restaurants and a number of apparel and accessory companies. The Jimmy Buffett lifestyle of “island escapism” is celebrated by all licensees.
Jimmy’s Buffet is a nine-piece band that sings everything from the Buffet catalogue, including “Fins,” Volcano and “A Pirate Looks At Forty.”
