Organizers call the Hot Chocolate Race series the “sweetest race” around. The 2025 San Diego version of the course started and ended at Balboa Park, after winding through Balboa Park and into North Park and back. Runners chose from 5K, 10K and 15K routes. It was all in fun, and for the sweet treats served after the races. San Diego Sun photographer Sal Giametta was there at the starting line and the finishing line to snap the action.
