The 27th annual Taste of Gaslamp was finger-lickin’ good. Hundreds of patrons filled downtown San Diego’s entertainment district to nosh and nibble on samples from two dozen participating eateries on September 9, 2023.
Bite-sized samples included: 16-hour, slow-smoked brisket from Smokin’ J’s BBQ; mini Wagyu meatballs from LAVO; platanos maduros and ropa vieja from Havana 1920; Moscow mules from American Junkie; and a dessert cup of strawberry cheesecake from Cali Cream Ice Cream.
The Taste of Gaslamp After-Party at Johnny WAHOO! Golf Bar packed in foodies who didn’t want to go home after the event.
The San Diego Sun team made the rounds. We connected with dozens of revelers who were excited to take the day’s restaurant research and use it to vote in our Downtown Dining Readers’ Poll.
