We can’t ever not have Comic-Con International in downtown San Diego. The good news: The cosplay will be back next year, for sure. However, even though a new contract was signed with the San Diego Convention Center, it was a one-year extension. Apparently, local hotels are raising room rates higher than the Con brass would like. No one can or should imagine this special convention moving to Anaheim or Los Angeles. It’s in the hands of local hotel management, who better know a good thing when they see it and chill on the gouging.
