Most of the 130,000-plus attendees of Comic-Con International 2025 have flow off to their places of origin. From July 24-27, they came, many to cosplay, for the annual pilgrimage to downtown San Diego and the San Diego Convention Center.
Here’s one last, loving look back at the costumed characters that make The Con special. San Diego Sun photographer Sal Giametta’s trademark portraiture tells the story through the eyes that lead to the soul of each and every would-be superhero and fantasy alter ego.
